Prvic Island, Croatia: the best opportunity for a secluded holiday
Sooner or later, everyone wants to relax and have a rest from the city bustle. Just imagine: shady coniferous groves, picturesque sea views, the clearest water of the Adriatic – even a few days here will essentially bring your thoughts in order and help to relax your soul and body. If you are not a fan of large resorts, then you will definitely like Croatia, because besides them, here you will find many small islands, cozy resorts and secluded beaches. An excellent option, for example, will be a small island of Prvic, located in central Dalmatia, near Sibenik.
Prvic Island: why is worth visiting
Prvic is only one kilometer away from the mainland coast, it’s easy to get to the island, especially if you charter a yacht, or you have your own. Prvic is worth visiting for connoisseurs of Renaissance art: it was here that Faust Vrancic was born, a true Renaissance artist, author of the design of the first parachute and even the first Croatian dictionary. On the island you can find a museum named after the great figure. Also, it is worth to see the church of St. Roko and the Church of the Ascension, they are very impressive, especially since Prvic in the Middle Ages, in particular the town of Prvic Luka, was the center of the Glagolitic writing.
Prvic today are picturesque bays, fabulous views, infinitely transparent water, the complete absence of motor vehicles, and therefore the air here is very special and very clean. The main villages of Prvic are Prvic Luka and Prvic Šepurine. Cozy stone streets, centuries-old houses: small towns, but very cozy. Prvic has very developed agriculture, fishing, grown olive, grapes and figs, but unobtrusive tourist infrastructure, this is really an ideal place to relax.
Prvic will be an excellent solution for yachtsmen: there are comfortable bays and marinas in order to moor, and then – fully enjoy the rest.
